Robots Can Have Skin Now | SciShow News

[ ♪INTRO ] Robot designs have come a long way. But there’s one thing we haven’t been able to give our mechanical creations: skin. I mean, obviously we’ve been able to coat robots in plastics that look like skin — or, just enough like skin to be terrifying. But a sensitive outer layer that really acts like skin has remained out of reach… until now, apparently. Last week, scientists publishing in the journal Proceedings of the IEEE outlined how they made the first autonomous robot with full-body skin. Artificial skin is a holy grail of sorts for robotics because a better sense of touch could help robots in a lot…

Can You Be Allergic To Sunlight?

♪ INTRO ♪ We all know that the sun can be dangerous. The UV radiation that beams down on you at the beach can damage your DNA, giving you painful burns and eventually, possibly cancer. Embossing dla początkujących. Lekcja 3 cz 2. ,,The secrets of Parchment craft”. #7.

In the second part of our lesson, we will make a simple card. And this is where we can apply our new skill of making dots. We tape the parchment paper to our pattern. We rub the parchment paper with a white candle. We do the tracing with the smallest ball. We need to draw our drawing with a single smooth line. In the middle of the flowers, we make dots with the help of a slightly larger ball. With a dark strip of paper, we check if we have drawn all the elements of the pattern. Now we’re doing leaf embossing. On the one side, we make diagonal lines…

Welcome to another embossing lesson. Today we will start with our strip again. Now let’s do another layer of embossing, again with slightly smaller balls. This time we do embossing only on half of the previous layer. We can also emboss in both rows. We select the right size of the tool for each element. The last elements we can make with the same balls as before, which is the smallest. Let’s do an additional layer on the second row using the biggest ball. This will make our embossing smoother. We can now see the differences between both rows and between individual elements. You can clearly see the colour gradation…
