    Okay, now we’re gonna discuss the functions of the integumentary system. And most people think of it as fairly straightforward, in terms of protection. Protection is one of the key functions of the integumentary system, however, it certainly is not the only function. So remember the epidermis is going to be superficial and right underneath it will be the dermis, which is quite a bit more substantial, both in terms of size as well as contents.
